About the Practice

What is Inner Sound Wellness?
Inner Sound Wellness offers group-based sound baths and sound journeys designed to support rest, presence, and inner listening. Offerings emphasize relaxation, nervous system settling, and gentle awareness through sound, silence, and contemplative practices.

What does “Inner Sound” mean?
“Inner Sound” refers to a subtle sense of resonance and presence that can be felt beneath external noise. Across many contemplative traditions, sound is understood not only as something we hear, but as something we experience internally through vibration, stillness, and attentive listening.

What is the intention behind sound baths and sound journeys?
The intention is to create a supportive environment for rest, reflection, and inner awareness. Sound baths emphasize immersion and stillness, while sound journeys may include gentle movement, breathwork, guided meditation, visualization, and intentional silence as part of a guided arc of experience.

Who facilitates these sessions?
Sessions are facilitated by a certified sound healing practitioner trained through the Academy of Sound Healing, with additional background in yoga, meditation, and holistic wellness traditions.

Is this a spiritual or religious practice?
Sound baths and sound journeys are contemplative in nature but are not affiliated with any specific religion. Participants of all backgrounds are welcome, and sessions are offered in a way that is inclusive, grounded, and respectful of diverse beliefs.

Is this therapy or treatment?
No. Sound healing is a complementary wellness practice and is not therapy, counseling, or medical treatment. Sessions are not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any condition.

What if my experience feels different from others in the group?
That is completely normal. While sessions are experienced together, each participant’s internal response to sound, silence, and guided practices is unique. There is no “right” way to experience a sound bath or sound journey.

What values guide Inner Sound Wellness?
The practice is guided by principles of accessibility, consent, inclusivity, professionalism, and respect for individual experience. Participants are always invited—never required—to engage in any aspect of a session.
